I doubt it given the fact that the current coaching staff is heavily involved in the recruitment of the players in the 2009 class.  We are maxed out with our current coaching staff.  So to replace one of those existing coaches with Dean would be a big hit to recruiting that I don't think we would want to take.

The other thing I heard is that Dean wants to be a head coach again so that desire precludes him from coming back to GT.

I hate that, i feel we need staff changes. The team has not been the same without Keener and Warren. Getting fired at JM will not afford him alot of looks as a head coach.

The way the program has developed (or not developed) makes a fan wonder if the title run years were created from special character players (such as Jack, McHenry and Clarence Moore) plus a great defensive coach (Keener). If that was the case, then I would gladly take back a great assistant irregardless of the recruiting damage. In the long run, excellent coaching is more important than a one or two year recruiting hit.

But, if Keener is hyper-focused on head coaching, might not be worth the risk.
