Even if he is exonerated I expect he'll miss 2008. Should that be the case, any chance he could get an extra RS year?

Weird comment to me.  He doesn't say he is innocent, but rather misunderstood.

His attorney should push for a quick trial which has to happen within 90 days by law in most states altho I'm not sure if Georgia has that law.  It probably does.

I agree.  What does he mean by this?  A skillful prosecutor could use anything on his  facebook page as well as changes he has made to try and gain a conviction.  He would be well advised to speak only through his lawyer, refrain from making any further changes to his facebook page, or communicating in any form with regard to his guilt or innocence.  This very serious charge, coupled with a $40,000 bond, does not bode well for him.  Sadly, for both Jerrard and the young lady, the emotional scars will be permanent.

Supposed he ends up being COMPLETELY INNOCENT?

How do you then extract the "pound of flesh" from the dishonest victim to make Tarrant "Whole Again"?

To make the GT FB Team "Whole again"?

To make Tarrant's REPUTATION "Whole again"?

What happened to INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY?

The supposed crime occurred April 25, yet he was not arrested until more than 1 month later, for those in the know, is this any indicator of the strength of the Prosecution's Case?

Depends when the girl reported the rape.  In many instances in rape cases, the victim won't immediately report it.

This type of thing happens too much across the college athletics landscape.   Seems all schools have to deal with it and it is very unfortunate.
This type of thing happens just as much and MAYBE MORE WRT to non-Athlete Male Students and especially Male Frat Members; but Males from those 2 groups are not Newsworthy, so we only hear about it when Athletes are in such situations.

Honestly have never heard of a non-student or anyone else that I've known or know somebody or friends of friends or anything that have been charged with this type of crime.

Maybe I live a sheltered life or something.  LOL

I understood the article to say the alleged victim called police at the time of the incident. It's been over 60 days since 4/25. There's got to be something to this time lag before the arrest. I hope this signifies a weak case.

Innocent until proven guilty. Remember Kobe. I know too many stories, including one close friend, falsely charged because someone wants 15 seconds of fame or is so hateful they love the vengence. Remember Duke, so let's not jump to conclusions.

At any rate, it will be some time before PJ gets his own guys in here. Gailey wanted to throw off on GOL as an excuse, somebody should look him up in KCity and shove a camera in his face and let him know turnaround is fair play when talking about recruiting and players.

I hate rape cases, well I guess everybody does! All too often its he said she said. All it takes is one irrational crazy woman to destroy a man's life...Look at the whole Duke fiasco. There better be some physical evidence of a struggle or forced whatever. I just don't think you can throw someone in prison when its his word against hers.  We'll just have to wait and see what the facts are.

As bystanders it is hard to assess the situation too 'cause by law they don't release any info on the accuser so we're totally in the dark.  No way to assess her voracity.

Probably one of the hardest charges to prove or refute. Kinda like a " charge" call in basketball. Like I tell my young son- if the girl says NO or STOP, you better take her seriously.

I agree and the girls' mothers also need to tell them not to play games with the guys and say "no" sometimes when they really mean yes.  Too many girls love to play the "hard to get" game which brings a lot of problems onto themselves.
