After losing our 4 best players, getting a brand new D-Coordinator with a brand new system and getting a bunch of new talent from recruiting, next season is pretty much up in the air. Some people are very optimistic thinking we'll compete for the ACC championship again, while others think the sky is falling and are preparing for a 7-5 record. I simply have to ask, for you personally, what is the WORST we can do and you NOT be disappointed?
I realize we all get a little disappointed after every loss, but you get what I mean.

I'd be happy with a 9-3 record AND a win against UGA. That sounds very good to me considering the circumstances. Looking at our schedule, I think its very possible. 8-4 to me would be quite disappointing, as would 9-3 with another loss to UGA. After a season where we were easily favored, but lost to them, I simply will not accept a loss to UGA this year. Obviously anything above 9-3 with a win against UGA would thrill me, but that would be the worst we can do without me calling it a disappointing season.

9-3 with a win over UGA is exactly what I was going to say. 8-4 with a win over UGA would be better than 9-3 without a win over UGA.

I think we are okay for next year since with the exception of Miami and Clemson we did pretty well with out offense. We played bad against GA and we won some close ones.I never really predict on paper what we will do since we dont play on paper but I think we will be a contender.I dont worry abuot the thirty four defense adn think we will do well with it and we can replace some of our departing guys.I would say we are in the ballgame with every team we play next year adn with effort can beat all of them but of courses, they can beat us too.My biggie is Georgie,we must beat them in order to salvage pride in our team and spotlight our program.A win against the pups puts everybody on notice that we can play with anybody. We get recruits and we get media coverage which we need.Losing to Ga to me is the pits and its not just anothe game Dog.I think we will be fine next year.

If you include the bowl game, I say 8-5 - with the stipulation that we beat UGA and win the bowl game.

worst we can do and still be happy in my opinion is 8-4 regular season with a win over the mutts. If that were to happen the only games I could see us losing would be unc, clemson, miami and vpi. I really do not see that happening. I can't see us losing against any of the following:
mtsu
scst
ncst
duke
kansas
uva
wake

I also can't see us losing to more than 2 from unc, vpi, miami and clemson. I feel that we're looking at atleast 9 wins in the regular season whether we beat georgie or not, but I won't consider it successful unless we beat the mutts.

Again, I could live with 8-4 if we beat georgie, but i think our most likely scenerio is probably 10-2 with a win over the mutts, or 9-3 with a loss to them. If we go 10-2, our losses will be from the ACC and I really don't see vpi losing more than 2 games in the ACC, so if they beat us in Bburg, they'll go to the title game and win.

That game is going to be epic.....with a 10 day build up, a meeting of likley top 10 teams, and a Sr. QB battle between Nesbitt and Taylor on a Thursday night at one of the toughest stadiums in the country.

Well, I really think, although we will have a dropoff in our top-end talent, this year cannot be worse than PJ's first year. The first year, the players were learning new systems on both sides of the ball, and this coming year, we will have many experienced players in the offensive system. Of course, the D will be starting over again. I would be happy with 8 wins, if we beat UGAG. But I really believe we can get to double digits again.

I'm expecting 10+ wins including uga. 9 wins would be a let down.

I haven't decided on a overall record yet but I will be disappointed if we play a game like we did against Miami last year where we got absolutly pounded.

I expect the jackets to be a tough oppenent for all teams on schedule next year.
