What my man Helluva is trying to say is that if our football schedule was a bikini, it'd be one of these.

Just for the record, I'm not completely sure if 2 of the 4 are wearing "bottoms"

Yeah, the one on the right with the smallest belly would be Miami.

Doesn't look like Bradley is too impressed w/ our schedule either - but in a different way

Tech’s 2010 schedule doesn’t set up for another title run

Tech will do well to go 8-4 next season

Given the away schedule and our loss of players, I concur.

I think UNC, VPI, and UGA are the only games that are more likely for us to lose...Every other one I'd give us better than a 50% chance of winning.

I'd say 9-3 possibly 10-2 if we get unlucky we go 8-4 if we get lucky go 10-2.

We can aruge about Auburn, TN, UF, etc...being "down" but all I see on our schedule is a questionable at best Celmson, Miami and VT, which are down too. UNC is decent but a nobody. Every year is "their year to rise" but they fall flat every year, I mean they are UNC.

Its an exciting schedule for winning games since there aren't any powerhouses, just not a sexy one.

GT will never immerse itself into the fabric of the Metro Atlanta Area and therefore grow & cultivate more Sidewalk-Alums with a garbage-ass, crappy-ass Home Schedule like that.

If I were an Alum from some NE-USA College that didn't have any CFB and I were relocated to the Metro Atlanta Area and had been here for 3 years or so, and I was looking for a CFB Team to follow, "since that's what the Locals do", there's NO WAY IN HELL I'D EVER FOLLOW GT FB OR ATTEND A HOME GAME with that kind of garbage-ass Home Schedule.

GT is located in a Metro Area, the MSA of Atl. is roughly 5.5 Million people, you cannot play that kind of home schedule and expect Fans to follow GT FB, you gotta go out and get some big-time OOC Games in order for GT to "be talked about" on ESPN and in the local Media.

The year that GT had ND in town (2005?) that first Labor day Weekend GT FB was talked about the ENTIRE SUMMER on local Sports Talk Radio here in Atl., that's what GT needs EACH YEAR for about 5-7 years in order to really grow some sidewalk-Alums into becoming lifelong GT fans.

Opponents like SC State, MTSU, Elon, Jax St., Vandy et al only DAMAGE GT's reputation in the eye of Fence-Sitting Fans, and once they go to support other College Teams, GT will never get them OR THEIR CHILDREN.

And please don't mention Texas/Bama/Florida, GT is NOT any those schools and the people we have to Market CFB to are nothing like those Communities where those Schools have to Market their CFB to, so please cease with the, "look at who Florida plays" replies.

At some point GT has to stop talking about "Eliteness" and actually go out and execute some Eliteness in the Marketplace for CFB fans.

Interesting that you finally agree with most of us on this point. I remember specifically aruging that these schools pander to a different demographic, to which you would reply that it made no difference and the difference lay in GT's ice-hole alumni, but that's neither here nor there.

I agree with your points on scheduling, I think D-Rad is putting too much faith in the return of Miami, strength of Clemson, and staying power of VPI. If those 3 teams are consistently strong though. It's hard to look at our schedule is weak. We'd have 4 perrenially strong teams on it every year, with a chance to have some other strong teams in the rest of the Coastal (like UNC this year) or in our other Atlantic scheduling. After that though the rest of the schedule becomes decent at best. I'm not sure how long it will take Miami to be "back" or if it will ever happen. As for VPI, I think they will continue to be good so long as Beamer is there, but I think Clemson is on the decline. We'll see though.

Clemson can't be on the decline...they never really had a peak.  With the recruiting classes they pull in, and selling points for the school (great stadium, great atmosphere, great girls, lower academic standards), I'd imagine them to field 8-9 win teams consistently with the occasional 7 or 10 win season sprinkled in.
