I noticed something interesting, the ACC has a total of 9 shutouts this season whereas the SEC has only 4.  (I'd probably count the Kentucky/Louisville game as a defensive shutout as the only score was a safety)

ACC is also the only one of the two conferences to record a shutout of BCS team with a winning record (Notre Dame).  SC did get NCST though.

Granted 5/9 of ours were against FCS teams, but 3/4 of SEC shutouts were.

Another interesting stat, avg defensive ranking based on by yds/gm allowed
SEC = 26.4
ACC = 36.3

However based on pts/gm (the one that matters)
SEC = 35.2
ACC = 31.8
