Thanks to all the whiners out there--your incesant bitching has resulted in this embarrassment of an article. It's bad enough hearing Kincade(sp?) on 680 hating on the empty seats in the stands. Now, despite a very good FIRST season under CPJ, some of our fans are still douching it up for the rest of us by making a big deal out of wearing a damn white shirt. I found a XXL long-sleave white sweatshirt at Goodwill for $4 yesterday. True, the guy they quoted is surely in the minority. However, I've seen several people on this board bitching and/ or saying they weren't going to wear white. I would say this board includes some pretty serious fans, and even among this population we've got a significant number of whiners. The article was written by our "Ramble on" blog guy. This was not an aricle by one of our "objective" journalist friends at the AJC. Moore has actually been writing a lot of positive stuff about GT and CPJ. My greatest fear is that tonight ESPN's analysts will come on, say "Welcome to Thursday night football at Bobby Dodd stadium for the white-out game between Miami and Georgia Tech" Then the camera pans to the stadium and its like 40% white, 40% aggregate, 20% green/orange of Miami. That would be so embarrassing for our school.

I spoke to a few Tech fans at a function I went to last night and asked them if they were wearing white, they laughed and said, I don't have any white jackets...and that is why this whole white out thing is stupid...because it requires 50,000 people to get off their ass and go buy something...many many people simply aren't going to do it because they don't care about a white out, they just want to watch football. The white out was doomed to failure the before they even announced it. UNLESS they hand out white shirts at the game.

Say what you will, the white out was a bad idea and chances are it will fail. I hope I'm wrong because I can hear my UGA buddies now "wow, some white out! nerds!", but chances are 40,000+ people did not make special trips to walmart to buy a white sweatshirt.

I know quite a few fans won't wear white, but hopefully enough of them will that it will look decent. At least the students will be pretty much all wearing white. I think it might help that a lot of our "gold" gear is quite light in color--maybe some of those people won't stand out too much. Hopefully, not too many A-holes in Navy blue. I actually emptied my flask at the FSU game and then proceeded to leave my Navy blue GT hoodie at the game. If anyone found a nice GT hoodie in section 222, you're welcome.

The whining,bitching Tech fans like Tony Yetman are an embarassment to themselves and to the football team. I would like to poke the sneviling sob right in the face and tell him to grow a set of balls and back the team and the school. Hey Tony, go look in the mirrior and tell yourself that you and other fans? like you are the main problem with Tech sports. Hell, you would bitch and complain if Tech gave you free tickets, picked you up in a limo, and set up a free tailgate. Tech fans like you make me want to puke!! And on a side note, I showed up for one of those free Ticket giveaways, to get some extra tickets for the FSU game...................as we stood there 20 deep for 10 sets of tickets some Douche demanded that he be given 6 tickets that 2 tickets were just not enough........who does that...................I wanted to punch that guy so bad.

I think the general consensus seems to be that the students will wear white, a small proportion of the fans in the west stands will wear white, and the rest of the stadium will be gold and green. Ugh. It's always the lousy west stand fans!
