are there still stuff at the bookstore, I went around a few places today and couldn't find anything... I was a little lower than Atlanta so that has a huge part to do with it. I'm hoping the bookstore still has some shit when i ride up tomorrow

I went to a Wizards playoff game last year.  They had a "white out"  that night.  I hope whomever runs the P.A. system/video board at Tech follows the lead of the Wiz's P.A. guy.  During breaks in the action, the P.A./video board guy would have a cameraman pan the crowd looking for people who weren't wearing white and zoom in on them.  This allowed the fans in the entire arena to boo them unmercifully.

If you don't wear white tomorrow, you suck as a person.

Great idea.....You can do that in the Pros......but you might destroy someone's psyche down at Grant Field....they might have a breakdown on the way home.....cause an accident....I think it's some kind of rule or something.....

Ha, that is awesome!  Great idea.  Next time maybe they won't even bother buying tickets to the game.

LMAO

As it should be... I'm about sick of hearing, "I don't have a white coat", or, "It's gonna be cold..."

Waaah, Waaah, Waaah.

This is so retarded:

The athletics department had initially pegged the Mississippi State game in September for the whiteout, but pushed it back to give students more time to organize.

Give them time to organize what?  Finding a white T-shirt or polo shirt in their closet?  Hell, I wore a white shirt to the MSU game on my own accord anyway.  I know I'm a broken record at this point, but a white out for the MSU game makes so much more sense.  And why did they have to push it back 2 months?  A whiteout for the UVA game would've been ok, or even the FSU game.  But a night game in November?  Ok, I'm done.

I don't really buy the "more time" reason.  I think it had everything to do with TV.  They wanted a good look on TV for the effort of putting it on, and the Thursday night game was the guaranteed ESPN national coverage.  Smart move if people actually comply.

My wardrobe for tonight in order of layer (bottom to top):

2 pairs of socks
Shoes
Athletic shorts (and yes, boxers underneath- no stupid comments)
Jeans
T-shirt
Sweatshirt
Long-sleeve white T-shirt (non-GT)
White GT T-shirt

This isn't hard guys.  Best part is I can remove layers if it really isn't that cold even without a coat.

Yeah, even if I had a white coat, I'd dress in layers. It's the only way to stay warm...just have a white outer layer.

I agree with Helluva though, moving the whiteout back to a cold weather game was a bad move. The FSU game would have made a lot more sense. But, regardless of how you feel about it, it's too easy to wear white to have any real excuse. If you don't wear white, it's only because you made a concerted effort not to.

a smarter move would've been to crawl before you walk and tested the fanbase during a game with regional coverage as opposed to jumping right on in to the deep end of the pool.  If we had a good turnout this year, THEN do it for a bigger game next year.

I wonder if this comes in white?

I hope there is white stuff still at bookstore when I get down there these afternoon.   My son and I have no white Tech stuff and I haven't had a chance to run out anywhere and get anything, was counting on going in there and getting some white for me and him before the game.

Are you watching the game in Sarah Palin's front yard?  That is quite an outfit.  You will definitely be the warmest person there.  Good luck peeing.
